We support children's intensive care to help critically ill children & parents

Story

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page,

In April this year, I received the devastating news that my friends, Stuart & Natalie Bradburn, had lost their little daughter, Grace, to the Chicken Pox virus.

Grace had been rushed to hospital on the morning of her first birthday with breathing difficulties, and sadly lost her valiant fight for life 4 weeks later on 24th April.

Despite their loss, Stuart & Natalie have been full of praise for the world-class medical treatment and wonderful care that Grace received at St Mary’s Paediatric Unit (PICU)

Grace’s parents were able to remain at her bedside throughout her ordeal. This was  possible due to the funding by COSMIC of local hotel accommodation adjacent to St Mary’s.

The support from the PICU consultants is ongoing, as they strive to identify the causes underlying how such a beautiful little girl could be so savagely overrun by such a common virus.

Please help me to make a difference to the lives of many children in the future, by supporting my efforts on September 16th.

As part of the COSMIC team, I will be taking part in the Flora Women’s HydroActive Challenge.

The distance is 5k, and I am determined to complete the challenge - with the wind at my back and with Grace in my heart.

With love,

 Amalia
