My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Irene Silvester 18/10/48 to 14/04/11 aged just 62years...

My aunty suffered a stroke in April 2009, followed by the news that she had Breast Cancer that was not removable

After several months of living in a Nursing home in Berkshire  Irene eventually settled into Beaumont Lodge in Camberely where she spent  her final 11 months.

Irene had Radiotherapy at Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, she  had just 2 sessions in september of 2010, but was admitted to hospital with Pneumonia.. she spent 4 weeks fighting the infection only to hear that the Cancer was now in her lungs..they sent her home for christmas unsure of how long she would survive...

Irene seemed to get better for a few months and returned to finish her Radiotherapy at Reading.. Her last session and her last appointment on the 29th March this year..

Unfortunately Irene couldn't hold on any longer and gently passed away on 14th April 2011.

My 13 year old daughter Zarra and my neighbour Dean, are preparing a very entertaining ' Dance Off' as part of our Family Fun Day to be held at The Derby Inn, Bartley Heath, North Warnborough, Hook, Hants, RG29 1HD on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May 2011 from 2pm til 10.30pm.
