We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Dear Friends,

Some of you may know that recently my Dad was diagnosed with cancer. I'm sure everyone reading this will have been affected by cancer in some way. The most horrible part of someone you love being very unwell, is feeling like you are powerless to do anything to help them get better. In my case, this isn't true, because Cancer Research UK has already saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Their vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people survive.
So on the 17th December, I am bungee jumping from the top of the O2 dome. If I reach £400, I'll jump from Berkshire, where they will let me do it naked. Yes...NAKED! My wing women Kate Williams and Samantha Arends will be joining me in this crazy challenge if we get to £1000, and the wonderful Sonya Mahony will join us if we hit £1500! I'm aware getting my kit off may not be an incentive for people to donate, but it was the only thing I could think of that was more ridiculous than leaping off the top of a building with my ankles attached to a bit of rope. And that's if I'm not my typically clumsy self, trip, then roll down the dome instead, breaking a few bones in the process... Close friends, if you were planning on getting me a Christmas present this year, donating and helping towards making sure my dad gets better would be the best present of all this year.

Love,

Amanda xx
