Story
This photo, taken in 1976, is of my father and I on a family holiday in France.
During the many hours of training that I am doing one thing that is really keeping me motivated, is the memory of my darling father, who died almost 10 years ago. He died far too young to Prostate Cancer, and so this cause is very dear to my heart. I hope to raise a lot of money to help support Everyman and hopefully one day find a cure. Of equal importance to me, is to raise awareness for this terrible disease, and if by doing this Marathon, one man goes and gets his PSA tested then many hours of training will have been worth it. I am also doing this Marathon for all those women out there so that they don't have to lose a husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend to this disease. During the actual Marathon, I can assure you the support that I receive is the thing that will keep my legs moving towards the finish line...!
