Story

Thank you for visiting this fundraising page.  We are hoping to raise some money in memory of Amanda Louise Withey. For those of you who didn't know Amanda, she was a caring, fun-loving, unique and wonderful 22 year old.  If you met her even once then you already know that.

Tragically, Amanda died suddenly of a brain tumour on the 23rd September 2007, leaving her family and friends devastated.

On the 16th May 2010, two of Amanda's friends (Gemma Barratt and Michelle Jones) will once again be taking part in the Great Manchester Run in aid of the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.  Last year they raised an amazing amount of sponsorship and they've both been training for months in preparation.

Please click on the link to the left for more information about the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust and the incredibly important work they are doing which needs our support. 3,400 people currently lose their lives to brain tumours each year and this is increasing by about 2% each year.

You can still donate by clicking the 'Donate Now' button on this page or for more information, e-mail Clare - clarehumphries_13@hotmail.com

Thank you again for visiting and for all your generous donations.
