Story
This year a girl in Year 6 has been diagnosed with Chron's disease after being poorly for several months. She was admitted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital and required the use of a nasogastric tube in order to get food and nutrients into her body. Despite this she has continued, as much as physically possible, to join in with everything that her final year at primary school has offered her. With the support of her family, friends and school she has continued to participate in sports day, school productions and a residential trip to London.
She has shown amazing courage throughout her illness and as this is a life-long illness she is learning to live with the condition. As she now begins to learn what she is able to eat to keep on top of her illness, she continues to show strength and has been an inspiration to all in her class and her school.
