Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

Our vision is that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in our area can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

My name is Amelia Derbyshire and I am a Fire Fighter based in Aylesbury. I have been bitten by the running bug in the last couple of years and have now completed the biggest challenge yet - the Flora London Marathon 2008. I raised money for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home last year, and have stepped the challenge up a distance this year! I ran it in under my target time of 4 hrs, finishing time of 3hrs 51mins 35 secs.

IRHH is a local charity to me, and I believe in helping local hospices by doing something stupid like running a long way!! My Mum is involved in fundraising for IRHH already, so I thought I'd do my bit. Please give generously, it all still counts!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Iain Rennie Hospice At Home will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support,

Amelia
