My story

We really do not want people to give us a present for our Anniversary.   Often when this is said people think the hosts are being polite and come with something anyway.   So we are saying "if you really want to give something then please make a donation to the Albert Kennedy Trust".    To avoid embarrassment for those who do not want to give we are also asking that any donations be anonymous ....then no one feels any pressure to give or not to.

What is the Trust?    It is a charity that provides assistance to gay and lesbian young people who are homeless, or in danger of being made homeless, because they are gay.    We have been involved since its inception.    Ken was one of the Trustees for a time and over the first two or three years of the Trust we housed 9 youngsters - from periods of a few days to more than a year.    The best way to explain is to direct you to a great video they have made on YouTube - complete with Sir Ian MacKellen one of the patrons.
