As many of you know, I am a paediatic registrar, currently working at the Royal London Hospital. On September 13, 2008, I want to take part in a 9 day Trek along the Great Wall of China in aid of the Barts and the London Charity.  The sponsorship raised will go towards the medical research arm of the charity.
 
My trekking challenge will start in Jinshanling with a trek that loops along the mountains either side of the Gubeikou Gateway. Each day I will trek approximately 12kms along the stony path, through the mountains and on completion of the challenge we will return to Beijing.  To undertake this challenge, I need to raise £2500 in sponsorship by June 2008. Please note that I will be paying the full cost of my trip myself, so any donations made will go directly to the charity.
