Well folks we made it, 24 hours and 6 minutes from start to finish of fun. Hard to think that walking for 24 hours could be fun but in a odd sort of way it was. The weather was just right not to hot and not to cold, the night part was remarkably light and the dawn on Sunday morning was a sight to behold followed by a blue sky and a warm sun for the final push. Best of all no rain! One thing that struck was the quietness of the glorious South Downs countryside. Thanks must go to the fab support team of Deborah, Dusan and Arpad who provided round the clock food, drink, comfort indeed everything that made it possible to stay the course. A large thank you must also go to the event organisers, the cheery Gurkhas at every road crossing, the reception teams at each checkpoint, the physiotherapists at checkpoint 5 and everyone involved on making it possible. And thanks must go to you for all the support we have received from friends, family and work colleagues. We set out to raise the required £2,000 but thanks to you over £6,000 is heading off to Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Alan, Angus, Kevin and Philip
