My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I successfully ran the London Marathon 2009 on 26th Apr 2009 for YMCA clocking a time of 4 hr 11 min. Please dig deep and sponsor me--it's your chance to make a difference.

Though I ran a half marathon in Oct'08 and had already got custom orthothotics fitted, the real campaign actually started in Dec'08 mid when I was vacationing.

Of course, the going has not been all that easy. Over the 4.5 months of training, I clocked 413 miles running on the road(London-Paris is only separated by 308 miles), moved on to my 3rd pair of trainers and  endured countless pains and aches.

With the record donation of $ 31 billion by Warren Buffet to the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation in 2007 expected to eradicate the top 20 life threatening diseases from the planet, I wanted to make my contribution to securing a better future for the youth...and hence the choice of my charity--YMCA.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: YMCA gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Last but not the least, please do note that no donation is too small and every penny counts, the minimum donation amount being only GBP 2(or it's equivalent). Barack Obama's campaign successfully demonstrated how every drop counts to make the big ocean.

Everyone's time is precious and if you choose to make a donation, it will not take more than 2 minutes.
