Story

Thank you for visiting my site, this is a bit long winded but i think you'll agree it gets to the point and is worth it.

Since I have been old enough to understand about my illness I have wanted to do some thing about it, not just to help myself but to help every other sufferer in the world. My dreams and ambitions have always been the same really, to raise enough money to make a difference to peoples lives, and to die being known to a lot of people, in a way were people look up to me for what I have done for the trust. I don’t want to just waste away ‘It's Better To Go Out With A Bang Than To Fade Away’. I can barely talk abut my dreams and ambitions without bringing tears to my eyes because it brings back all the years of living being different and wishing to be normal. Just like most teenagers I’m stubborn, and I’ve got fed up of helping myself. And so I’ve been told I’m shooting myself in the foot. I feel now that even if I did begin my treatment again I wouldn’t be happy, so now all I want is to save all those other people with cystic fibrosis, I want you to help me help those 7500 people in the UK. I just wish my dreams would come true, I’m determined to make a difference and I want to do this. I don’t mean to sound selfish but this is one thing I really want… and this is one thing I’m defiantly going to get! And however hard I try however much pain I go through however far I have to go, I will do this and I will make a difference. I’ll never give up I never have and never will no matter how far I’m pushed I don’t give up on anyone or anything and I wont start now. I will work and do my everything to get to where I want to be and to achieve those things and I will use every ounce of energy I have left until the day I die.

I believe when your times up your times up, but with the time you do have you should make the most of it and that’s what I’m trying to do. Have you ever seen a film called pay it forward? Guess I’m trying to do that really, but just I want to make a real difference to people’s lives. Every child, teenager and adult with CF asks the same 2 questions everytime they wake up and go to sleep, wonder’s the same 2 things all their lives, wishes and dreams about the same two things until the day they die… Why me? What’s it like to be normal? Those two questions are what I want to change. Those were the two questions I always used to ask myself, until a few months ago, I stopped asking and decided I would do something about it. Now I just dream about raising awareness and amounts of money unimaginable for a 15 year old girl to raise. Now when I fall to sleep I ask my self, what will it take to make us normal? Not what is it like. With the help of people around me and my own hope and beliefs I want my dreams to come true and lives to change.

That’s where you come in.

With the help of all of you, my dad and I wish to raise money for CF by walking the Grand Canyon. But the same as everything in life nothing comes free. And we have to raise a minimum of £3000 each. I could sit hear and go on to you about how much I hate my life or I could tell you how bad it is to live with CF or I could beg you to help all those other people round the world. I could go for the sympathy vote. But I’m not going to all I’m going to ask is for you to help us help others. If every person in the UK gave a pound to the CF trust there would be enough money to find a cure; a pound sounds nothing; but not everyone’s knows about CF. I’m not just aiming to raise money, but awareness as well. I’m guessing you’ve all seen the master card adverts right? Just like it says…

Nice cold can of coke… 60p

Tickets to see England play for two… £300

Holiday in the sun for two… £2000

Life… Priceless

Thank you on behalf of every person affected by CF, even if you haven’t left a donation for the trust, I appreciate you taking the time to read this letter. Thank you all so much.
