Story
As some of you may already know, I (Amy) have suffered from Lymphoedema since 2005 as a delayed effect of having treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1998.
The Lymphoedema Support Network (LSN) takes the lead role in educating and supporting other patients with this condition by providing a high standard of information and promoting self-help. Since its inception in 1991, when there was very little information or help available for patients, the LSN has evolved into an independent and influential charity. It is the only national patient-led organisation offering information and support to people with this condition and has a unique understanding of the patients' experience
Craig and I have decided to cycle the 1005 mile route from John O Groats to Land's End in May in aid of this worthwhile cause. We hoping to match each mile with one pound of sponsorship so please sponsor us now!
The trip has been postponed to the 23rd May because it turns out that cycling a 1005 mile route requires a lot more planning and training than first thought!
We are now well on our way in terms of preparation for the trip and have cycled four consecutive days of 80 miles in training.
