Story

  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

I did it!!! My first marathon in 4 hours, 22 minutes and 39 seconds, almost perfect 10 minute miling thanks to my friend the 10-minute mile pacer who I stuck with right from the blue start. It was an awesome experience, mentally and physically challenging to the absolute max, but well worth it.

A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me - the target was met (and indeed exceeded) in time for the race. This was such an incentive to run well, and along with the crowd on the day, boosted my motivation no end. If you pledged, but haven't donated yet, it's not too late, cheques can be made out to Leonard Cheshire, and sent to Mr Jim Williams at The Grove, East Carleton, Scotts Hill, Norfolk, NR14 8HP.

The work is due to start on the 'pink lounge' in the Summer and I will update you on progress and completion. Thanks again, your support really does make all the difference.

Amy, on behalf of the residents of The Grove
