Story
Hi guys! :)
Whether you know me or not, thank you! so much for visiting my page, and for your support.
Cancer has affected the lives of every single person in some way or another, I have lost a friend to Cancer and many of the people I know and love have lost, are losing or have been directly affected by cancer in some way.
If you do know me, you will know that I have a medical condition called Bilateral Plantar Fasciitis, which means that I can't walk for long distances without being in incredible pain, along with severe anxiety and depression and other medical problems that can stop me from doing normal activities, but I still consider myself extremely lucky, as there are people who are dealing with much worse than I, every minute of every day.
I am doing the 5K race, and I aim to finish it, whether I have to walk, hop or crawl to the finish line, this is a huge challenge for me, and it will bring me pain, and cause panic attacks along the way, but it's my way of giving back, it's one day in the year where I will put everyone else's needs infront of my own. I have had so much support from friends, family and health professionals through my life and this is my way of saying thank you. I consider myself lucky, compared to people who have to live with cancer and who are affected by cancer, the people I know who have been affected by cancer are the strongest people I have ever met, and my friend who sadly lost his battle at a young age, fought until his last breath and I think to myself, if he could fight so hard for his life, then I will fight for the life of others.
So please, dig deep, not for me, but for everyone who has been affected by cancer.
Much love, hugs and kisses!

If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you.
(For medical and legal reasons: I am doing this of my own free will, and understand that it may bring complications due to my disabilities, in which Race for life and Cancer research UK have no responsibility for should I fall ill. I will train and monitor my health before and during the event and I will let all my health professionals know of my intentions before I race. I will be wearing my prescribed devices in my shoes, my partner will be waiting at the finish line with a crutch if I should need it and I will have all medicines and emergency contacts listed on the inside of my number sheet)
