In September, I will be trekking for 6 days along the Peruvian Salkantay route to the Land of the Inca in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. I want to raise money for this charity because it makes a huge difference to the lives of children and young people with life-threatening conditions. Some examples of the wishes they have granted include becoming Superman or a Ninja-princess for the day, having a tea-party with favourite TV characters and even funding a family holiday to Disney World.

After hearing about the work they have done, and the support they need in order to continue, I have decided to take part in various fundraising activities before my trek. To name a few, I'm going to host a bake-sale, ask for donations in place of Christmas presents and take part in Collection Raids (collecting money for charity in cities across the UK...in fancy dress) with my University RAG (raising and giving) society. My Dad is also doing Iron Man Wales in September for the charity and anything he raises will also go towards this fundraising!
