After two years of threatening to put myself through the regime of training for the London marathon I have finally managed to secure a place through the YMCA. So here I am asking if you would kindly part with your pennies to encourage and help me get round the 26.2 mile course (you cannot forget the .2 at the end!)
My fundraising target is £1,400 and any amount would be hugely appreciated and will go a long way in helping me reach my target!
The Marathon is on Sunday 26th April so please make a note in the diary if you would like to see a red faced me running through the streets of London!
Since writing this page I've been asked to write a little more about the charity - so, as promised here you go mum!...
"The YMCA builds on a long history of providing a place for young people to find acceptance, community and activity.
The YMCA does this by offering services in seven areas, Housing and Homelessness, Crime & Safety, Education & Skills, Sport, Money & Work, Citizenship and Parenting.
Every YMCA association in England is autonomously managed and works to meet the specific needs of young people in their local communities"
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: YMCA gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
