My sister is my inspiration and sadly last year Emma broke her back in a skiing accident.  I have never seen someone show such strength and determination through a very scary stage in her life and it made me think - I needed to achieve something that makes me nervous.  The day of Emma's third operation I signed up to cycle 460km from London to Paris with The Royal British Legion in September.

This event makes me nervous - I am not a cyclist but Emma has taught me that being nervous can drive you through to the end.  Additionally I will be doing it to raise money for a wonderful charity who deal with extremely strong and determinded individuals.
