Some of you will know that I was going to do the Great Ethiopian Run for charity this year. But, just before I registered, I got engaged. So, in an effort to 'not take on too much', the Great Ethiopian Run turned into the Launceston* Half Marathon!
I've never done a competitive run before, and I definitely haven't run 13 miles before, so it's all new for me. It would be amazingly encouraging (as in it would keep me running!) if you wanted to sponsor me, so that it feels worthwhile. The charity I'm running for is Medair, an amazing charity working with some of the most vulnerable people in the world. They've even won awards for how they use their donations. (See below left for some more info on Medair).
THANK YOU THANK YOU for helping me raise some money. Lots of sweaty, post-run hugs,
Amy

*Launceston is in Cornwall - I didn't know this either, until I found the run. The route entails running over a bridge called 'Polson Bridge', which was influential in my decision to do this particular run ;o)
The 'Just Giving' info!:
"Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Medair UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation."
