My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The notes on what to put here say 'tell your story'.  I'm not going to do that, cause you'll be here all night if I do! In brief, I'm doing this half marathon because I like running, I love London's parks and READ International are a really good cause - they source and send disused high quality books from here in the UK to schools in Tanzania where they are in terribly short supply.  

A donation of £20 will provide a whole class of children with textbooks for one year's learning. Remember, your donation will not only give books to students, it will give them an opportunity for an education.

The run is a challenge for me as I only usually run three or four miles for fitness.  The route is through London's Royal Parks - Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James Park, so the beautiful surroundings will help keep me going I hope.

Training Update (last 2 weeks)

Ran 10 miles on Saturday and this time I took some sports drink with me which made a massive difference.  I felt really strong and actually enjoyed it!  Plan on doing one more 10 miler this week plus a couple of shorter runs and then rest up in prep for race day.
