Hi and thanks for choosing to sponsor me! I have entered the 2008 Mazda London Triathlon which involves a 1500m swim in the Thames (!), followed by a 40km cycle, finishing up with a 10k run at the end. The London Triathlon will be held in at the ExCeL centre, London on 9th/10th August if you would like to come along and watch/laugh at me! My goal is to raise £1000.00 for the Rainforest Foundation charity, a charity which fights to preserve the world's remaining rainforests and protect the communities whose lives and homes are under threat from deforestation. Putting aside how spectacularly diverse and beautiful our rainforests are for a second, did you know that 80% of the world's poorest people depend on them?.....and that they provide about 50% of the oxygen we breath. I hope you'll agree this is a most worthy cause and donate as much as you can to support both the charity and me on my quest to complete the challenge of the triathlon!
