Anders Does Tango

Tesco charity of the year partnership · 28 February 2012 ·
Hi everyone
As you may know, I am taking part in Tesco Does Strictly Come Dancing this year and I'm performing the Argentine Tango with my professional partner Federico. I am 4 weeks into training, my feet are black and blue and I keep being told off but I'm loving every minute of it! The hardest thing is allowing myself to be led...as I'm clearly not one to be told what to do!!
The big night is Thursday 19th January at the internationally renowned Stevenage Leisure Centre*.
There's a reason why I'm putting myself through this. My granny suffered for several years with Alzheimer's and we watched her change into a completely different person in front of our eyes. Research is going on all the time that will, we hope, eventually lead to treatments that can save so many families just like mine going through such a heartbreaking experience. The Alzheimer's Society helps fund this research along with offering much needed support to people affected in whatever way, which I know so many people are incredibly grateful for.
If you're visiting this page to pay for a ticket then thank you very much in advance and please promise not to heckle on the night! Please state clearly that it's a ticket purchase from me. You mustn't tick the gift aid box as it's illegal if you're getting something in return for your donation. Any donations not associated with tickets or sponsorship then again, thank you and please don't forget to gift aid it.
A HUGE thank you to my generous sponsors Augustus Martin and The Big Kick - you rock!
You can follow my progress on Twitter - @alfiearocks although there's a strong chance you'll see graphic images of my damaged feet.
Thanks so much for your support
Kate
* that bit was a lie. It's actually the courts that I play netball on on a Monday, transformed for one night only.
