Story
In loving memory of Andy Numan (1980-2009)
Hi Everyone: Friends, Family and Those of ANDY NUMAN too!!
As many of you know a great friend of mine- and many of yours- Andy Numan sufferred from the genetic disorder CGD. For those of you who know Andy you will know that he was one of the funniest and light-hearted people you could EVER have met.
Unfortunately Andy passed away in the night between Saturday March 21st and Sunday the 22nd . Nearly two years ago he had a bone marrow transplant using his sister Charlotte as his donor. Sadly, he never got back to full health. I have been fortunate enough to be the God-Father to his wonderful daughter Bella and have tried to come back to England from my home in Copenhagen to see them as much as possible. Andy's determination had been unrelenting and unbelievably inspiring.
But now I want to engage all the people I can to make an impact.
NOW I NEED YOUR HELP. I am setting an ambitious target of £2000 to raise for his Charity, The CGD Trust. I will be running the British 10k Run in July and with all your help will try to make a valuable contribution!! Please, anything you can spare helps. "We love to hear the contributions that jingle, but prefer the ones that fold!!"(even if this is a different means of doing it)
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Research Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me- and those who support Andy- now!
Thanks so so much to you all
