The event I am taking part in on 8th July 2007, the Bristol SunWalk, is one of many events organised by the registered charity WalkTheWalk in order to raise money for breast cancer care and research.

The Bristol SunWalk is a power-walked half marathon. And participants do it wearing decorated Wonderbras and lycra shorts...in broad daylight!

I did my first power-walking event for WalkTheWalk a couple of years ago - I was lucky enough to secure a place on the Playtex MoonWalk, a full marathon starting and finishing in Hyde Park, which takes place at night! Power-walking whilst wearing a decorated Wonderbra and shorts isn't so bad in the dark, no one can see all your lumps and bumps.....but this is the first time I will have ventured out into a city wearing a decorated bra and lycra shorts in DAYLIGHT! In order for this humiliation to be bearable, please please PLEASE sponsor me on this fundraising site!

It doesn't matter how much you sponsor me...every single penny will be appreciated by the organisers. If I raise over £300, I will post pictures of me in my SunWalk outfit on this site, the F Register site and F/TF section of MG-Rover.org for all to laugh at....if I manage to break the £600 barrier, I will 'celebrate' the achievement and futher embarrass myself by arriving at the next MGF Register meet following the event wearing my SunWalk outfit!
