WE DID IT!!!! On Sunday we headed off to Kent and took to the skies. The sun shone for us all day and we managed to don our jumpsuits and parachutes. I think it's fair to say that we were all scared, but a few of us were more terrified than others. I went up with Kerry in the plane and we held hands all the way!! At 12000 feet the door was opened and I was dangled over the edge of the plane. My lovely tandem partner Dave pushed out of the plane and we were plummeting head first at 120MPH. The feeling of freefalling was immense, and so noisy. We ploughed through the clouds which was most strange, and as we emerged from beneath the clouds our parachute was deployed. From there we glided gently to the ground, with me in control, taking in the amazing views as we went. My landing was eventful, but nothing was broken! All in all it was an amazing experience unlike anything I have ever done before. I would never have considered doing anything like this if it hadn't been for the fact that I was raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Thank you so much to everybody who sponsored me, some of whom I have never met before. I have been astounded and completely overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness.
