Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I will be fulfilling one of my ambitons in climbing Kilimanjaro. Sean has already started this challenge in giving up smoking.

I lost my Mum recently to Lewy Body Disease(DLB) so I feel very strongly in raising awareness and of course much needed funding for this little known but not uncommon disease.

DLB is a complex mix of Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease and is often misdiagnosed, with incorrect drugs being given. This can worsen symptoms or even be fatal.

The Lewy Body Society is run totally by volunteers, so all of your donations will go to raising awareness, fighting and finding a cure for this devastating disease.

You can also donate by texting TYNB99  just show the amount you would like to donate and text to 70070 .

My Mum loved to walk so I know she would be very proud to know that I am finally going to do my "ultimate" walk. Even prouder, if not shocked, that Sean will be joining me.

My charity challenge to climb Kilimanjaro has been organised by Private Expeditions,  www.privateexpeditions.com
