Yes the rumours are true...this summer cousins Andrew Stewart and Stephen Forbes are attempting to cycle from London's Blackheath to the glorious Champs-Elysees in Paris. This breaks down to:

Day 1: 95 miles; Day 2: 75 miles; Day 3: 70 miles; Day 4: 60 miles; Day 5: Jubilation, exhaustion and hangovers...

PLEASE SUPPORT US IN EXCEEDING OUR FUNDRAISING TARGET -- we have paid all expenses related to the trip from our own pocket so 100% of your donation goes to Kidney Research UK.

 

Why on earth are you doing it you might ask? Well...

1. You could call it a mid-life crisis brought about by the realisation that our waist sizes seem to have exponentially grown in-line with our ages.

2. To promote the importance of organ donation and celebrate the fact that Stephen successfully received a living related kidney transplant in 2004 after suffering from years of problems.

3. We have always seen ourselves as fashion pioneers with super athletic abilities and we believe that single-handedly we can rejuvenate the market for lycra bicycle shorts and related accessories.

4. To celebrate all that we have achieved and show that anything is possible -- particularly if you agree to it at 3 am after downing a good few bottles of French wine.

5. Most importantly, we want to raise money for Kidney Research UK so they can continue their excellent work in advancing our knowledge and ability to treat those who suffer from kidney related diseases.
