Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As was asked by a fellow madman whether I would be interested in returning to Cuba with the team that conquered Cuba 5 years ago. It seems strange that I leapt at the chance to suffer again for the benefit of the Openwork Foundation and Cares4Kids a charity that provides a great deal of funding for Children and young people's charities both in the UK and abroad.
I have not been on a bike since I returned from the South Africa cycle challenge in 2006, so the prospect fills me with great joy!! 5 Years on, I have no doubt that I will certainly be calling on all my reserves of stamina and endurance to cope with the heat and the distance. (450K)
This ride, I guarantee, will be my last one and as such, I am extremely keen to raise as much money as possible.
The motivation is as always that I am making a real difference to the children and young people who we support through Cares4Kids (part of Zurich Community Trust (UK) Ltd.). The money we raise will help disadvantaged children and young people to move from dependence to independence.
So, the training has just started and the padded shorts are out once more!
Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Every penny counts and will make a difference.
Thank you for supporting me in this challenge!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Zurich Community Trust (UK) Ltd will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
