I have decided to participate in a gruelling "Cycle Challenge" along the south west Indian Peninsula later this year.  The actual cycling will take place over 5 days and will cover over 460 kilometres across at times very challenging terrain.

Apart from the obvious aches and pains to parts of my body not used to such exertion, I also aim to raise at least £5,000 for "The Openwork Foundation Cares 4 Kids Appeal".   This appeal supports voluntary organisations across the U.K. helping socially, mentally or physically disadvantaged children

The money I raise will go towards helping disadvantaged children have greater opportunities and a happier life so, I am therefore appealing for sponsors to help support this challenge

Cares 4 Kids is designed to support children and young people in the UK and overseas between the ages of 0 and 18 years, who are disadvantaged - socially, mentally or physically

Already Cares 4 Kids has helped to buy specially adapted minibuses, specialist medical and mobility equipment, hydrotherapy pools, adventure playgrounds and holiday homes for disabled children and children with cancer.

Cares 4 Kids has supported several childrens hospices and orphanages.
