I am very proud to be running both the Paris and London Marathons this year on behalf of Unique - the Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group - see www.rarechromo.org for more information on this very worthwhile charity.
On a personal level, my friends Fiona & Andrew Tickle have a 9-year old son, Peter, who was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder at a very early age - the 'knock-on' effect is that this has impacted on all areas of his global development.
Peter is a very happy, sociable and affectionate little boy who welcomes everyone he comes into contact with. His parents have had a tremendous amount of support not only for Peter and themselves but also their two daughters, Sophie & Isobel.
Therefore, on their behalf as well as supporting the charity myself, I am honoured to be doing this.
