THIS SEPTEMBER I will be climbing Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, to raise money for a great charity called Excellent.
LAST SEPTEMBER I helped build a sand dam in Kenya and I have attached some photos of my experience. My Kili trip is to raise further awareness of sand dams and to help fund the construction of another one.
SAND DAMS are amazing structures that capture and store millions of litres of clean water right where communities need it. They vastly improve people’s lives and transform dry environments into places where people, plants and animals can thrive. They are the world’s lowest cost way of capturing and storing rainwater in dry rural areas.
EXCELLENT does a fantastic job supporting rural communities in Africa to build sand dams and improve their food production.

I am paying my own way to get to Africa. I am now trying to raise sponsorship of which at least £750 will support Excellent's amazing work.
