UPDATE APRIL 2009 - Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported me on the run up the 2009 FLORA LONDON MARATHON.  I really enjoyed the experience and will hopefully be running in the 2010 VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON next year.  My time was 4hrs 42mins.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

This is my first ever Marathon and I am training hard on the run up to the 26th, April.  I've been running for a while now and felt it was time to finally decide to take this challenge because it's something that I have always wanted to do.  In making my decision to run in the 2009 LONDON MARATHON I chose very carefully a charity that would benefit greatly and also that was close to my heart as being visually impaired myself I understand the problems faced by children with a visual impairment.  The National Blind Children's Society are a fantastic charity and the work they do is very important.  Being born blind or losing your sight as a child or young person is a very traumatic experience.  Without charities like The National Blind Children's Society things would be very different.  So please, please help me raise my target of £1.350 and help me make a difference for so many young people who need our help.
