About my charity : Children's Foundation Children's Foundation
The Children's Foundation raises essential funds for medical and lifestyle research to combat childhood diseases and conditions such as cerebral palsy and autism. It supports NHS service delivery and a number of innovative, community-based projects designed to improve and protect the health and well-being of children and young people. Through its partnership programmes, it strives to help children in North East England but ultimately children everywhere.

My personal message:

Having agreed to do the Great North Run  for the Childrens' Foundation  I  had a setback after 8 weeks of training when I fell off a ladder and damaged my ankle. I was keen not let the Childrens Foundation or sponsors down so did the Great North Swim instead on in Lake Windermere - temperature 15 degrees! -  3 days to train !  It was colder and harder than I'd expected but with one good leg and 52 minutes 14 seconds in the water I finished. Watch out for Channel 4 programme in October.

If you'd still like to sponsor me  we are still taking donations on line or you can  e mail me back  and send cheuqes to the Childrens Foundation off line. So far with gift aid and off line donations we hope to raise £2, 600 exceeding the original target.
