Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 8 June 2008, I took part in the Two Castles Run, which was a 10km jaunt starting at Warwick Castle and finishing at Kenilworth Castle.

On a hot morning, I completed the run in 54 minutes, 21 seconds, coming in 971st place out of 2,500 runners.

I'm very pleased with that effort and felt good during the race, not succumbing to stitch, cramps or pulls. I think the adrenalin kept me going up the hills and through the heat. That was what I trained for!

I ran it to raise money for the charity I work for: BMS World Mission. In my role as editor at BMS, I've had the privilege of travelling to four different countries, most recently D R Congo, and seen first-hand the difference BMS can make to people who in a desperate need of practical care - and the hope and fulfilment that I believe can only be found through knowing Jesus Christ.

I know that without our support, crucial healthcare, education, relief work, and so much more, couldn’t happen, and many people in poverty-stricken situations would face even greater suffering.

You can continue to sponsor me online until 8 August! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BMS World Mission will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
