You may be reassured (or indeed disappointed) to know that I will in fact be attached to a parachute (rather than chained to an anvil). Actually, I will attached to another parachutist (a professional instructor)... apparently the jump is called a 'tandem skydive', and we will be jumping at 10,000 feet and free falling at 120mph!
I will be doing this on the 23rd August 2008 (moved forward from 26th July baecause the army needed to use the base) for the International Medical Corps (UK) which is a totally brilliant charity working in humanitarian crises worldwide (for example, Darfur, Chad, Iraq, Sierra Leone).
