Final Update: very many thanks to all of you who have  helped me to reach my personal fund raising target of £5,000. Our team has an overall target of £10,000 which, following the successful completion of the ride yesterday, we are tantalisingly close to!!!

As you may already know,  myself and 7 fellow cyclists from the U.K Wine Trade will be riding in excess of 650 kms (400+ miles) from Calais to Beaune (Burgundy) where we will arrive on Thursday 4th June, following 4 very long days in the saddle, in order to raise funds for the Wine & Spirit Trades Benevolent Charity.
