St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I've been meaning to get a bit more exercise recently and do a bit for charity so when the opportunity to take part in a local bikeathon came up I jumped at it. The good cause is a local hospice where my mum like to visit. Their care was marvellous and I can't think how best to describe the effect a place like this has for patients and their families.

The route I've signed up for is 45 miles long and should take me down many lanes I've not explored south of Worcester, around Bredon hill and back through Pershore. I'm betting there is somewhere en route to take in some liquid refreshments!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Richard's Hospice Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. There is a small admin fee taken out of your donation, so if you're likely to see me and want to hand over some cash instead you can fill out my standard sponsor form instead.

Many thanks for your support.

Andy.
