Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On 20th July this year I will be running the Northumberland Coastal run in support of a charity close to my heart, the Alzheimer's Research Trust.

In the UK Alzheimer's affects an estimated 700,000 people. For every person with Alzheimer's, £11 is spent each year on UK research compared with £289 for each cancer patient, even though similar numbers of people are affected. The Alzheimer's Research Trust funds vital research into Alzheimer's and related diseases at leading UK institutions, as well as providing free information about treatment of Alzheimer's. As for the race itself the course follows approximately 14 miles of one of the most stunning coastlines in Britain, from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth Estuary. The event was voted best race of 2007 by runners world readers, so it promises to be good! I can't wait for the race and training is going well, it won't be easy but nothing worth doing is, so please help me raises as much as possible for a very worthwhile charity! (and to give me an extra incentive to run faster on the day!)
