Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

We are the largest charity dedicated to kidney research in the UK. Kidney disease ruins and destroys lives. Treatments are gruelling, relentless. There is no cure. We say this isn't good enough. We will transform kidney health. Kidney disease ends here.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

A big thankyou too all who sponsored/ supported me!!!

I finished the 26miles 385yards in 4 hours and 40mins, not a world record  but my PB, i managed to run the whole time without stopping to walk, obviously i need to run a bit faster next time!!

The Whole day was a fantastic ( but painful) experience!!  and with your help raised alot of money for Kidney research uk, Thanks again!!! Morty.

I am very proud to be running the London Marathon for Kidney Research UK. As you may know my eldest son George was born in 1996 with a Kidney illness, In November 1997 George had a kidney transplant, George is now a fit 12 year old , although he has had a few set backs and many operations over the past 10 years, he really enjoys his life and enjoys school and participates in many sports including, Football, Golf, cricket and swimming. He has been an inspiration  not only to me, but also  to his Mum Kelly and his 3 younger brothers Lewis, Bobby and Joseph.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kidney Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.   Andrew Mortlock
