Huntington’s disease has affected me personally as my uncle and my cousin who was only 43 at the time (that’s younger than I am now) have both died from this illness. More recently my cousin’s daughter who is only 20 and my cousin’s sister have both been diagnosed with the illness. Huntington’s is a progressive neuropsychiatric disorder resulting in a steady decline of peoples physical, emotional and cognitive skills and there is no cure, I hope by taking part in this challenge I can raise a few quid and also raise awareness of this terrible illness that ravages families and effects up to 50,000 people in Britain.
