One last mid-life adventure.. on 11 April Ben Morton and I set off from Devizes in Wiltshire on the longest canoe race in the world, a 125 mile non-stop paddle along the Kennet & Avon canal and then down the Thames to Westminster. We hope to finish inside 26 hours and will be praying to the rain gods to get the current flowing. Ben, my co-pilot is raising money for  ACE Africa www.ace-africa.org  http://www.justgiving.com:80/benmorton and I'm doing my bit for Cancer Research .  My Kiwi sister Gillian got caught by a very aggressive breast cancer earlier this year and is undergoing chemotherapy. Her last dose is next week.
