We believe that all pets should have access to veterinary care – regardless of their owners’ financial situation. Over 100 years, we’ve helped more than 20 million sick and injured pets – providing life-saving vet care to more vulnerable pets than any other animal charity in the UK today.

Story

I ran the London Marathon in 2010 but struggled with injury. Let's try again.

In 2012 I will be running the London Marathon for the PDSA (The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals). I learnt about the PDSA when I visited their pet hospital in South Croydon after having ran over a cat nearby. I was truly amazed at how busy it was and what friendly and efficient staff they had working there, and when I learnt that it was dependent entirely on charitable donations I decided that I would like to help.

The PDSA is a charity that provides veterinary services for disadvantaged pet owners. This year the PDSA will provide more than 2.2 million free treatments to sick and injured pets and more than 360,000 preventive treatments. This will cost more than £53 million to provide and is funded entirely by public support... donors, customers and volunteers, who ensure PDSA is here to provide a healthy life for all our pets.

Anyway, hopefully you will agree that the PDSA is a worthwhile cause, and that the work they do in the Croydon area in particular is astounding. If you feel you would like to help please feel free to make a donation on this page.

Thank you.
