We fund vital diabetes research to establish the causes; develop improved management and treatment options; and ultimately find a cure, we also aim to ensure that people have access to the right information and support to develop a proactive self-care approach to successful self-management.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This was my first run and I am running for a cause close to my heart.

My uncle, Raj passed away in June 2006 due to the complications of diabetes. A disease he had been suffering from for over ten years but being in India the care was low quality and expensive. Therefore I have decided to raise money for Diabetes Research & Wellness as they invest in both the UK and abroad.

I completed the Bayer 10K Run through my local town of Newbury on Sunday 31st May. My target was to be under the one hour thirty minutes mark and aim to be as close to one hour as possible. I completed the course in blistering heat in 1 hour and 5 minutes.

I know the financial climate is not wonderful at the moment and you may already have been asked by several of your friends and family to sponsor them in other events. However if you could spare just a few pounds, me and my family will be very grateful.

Thank you to everyone that as donated! I really appreciate your kind donation!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you.
