Andy's Abseil for Henshaws · 27 September 2009

We help people living with sight loss and other disabilities to achieve their ambitions and go beyond expectations. We believe wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support enables people and their families to build skills and develop confidence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why am I abseiling down the Mersey Tunnel Ventilation Shaft?  Well, I can't lie to you - I just like the idea of abseiling down it - there's no real sense of charity about it.  However...being able to do it for a good cause seems like a bit of a winner, and Henshaws are a great organisation - read more about them here: http://www.henshaws.org.uk/

So...I'm not on the moral charity high-horse.  Oh no.  I don't EXPECT all those people that I've graciously sponsored over the years (you know who you are) to reciprocate.  Suffice to say there would be an element of never being able to live with yourselves if I don't reach my target.

So please dig deep and donate now.
