Story

Hello and thank you for looking me up..

I will be running several races and other bits and bobs in 2011 in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.

My sister had spina bifida and died during childbirth when I was two years old. I myself was diagnosed with talipes or clubfoot when I was born and its only because of the dedication and skills of the doctors, physiotherapists and nurses there at the time that I can walk and indeed run at all.

UPCOMING RUNS

Edinburgh Half Marathon on 10/4/11

Great North Run in September 2011

RACE RESULTS

Loch Lomond 5K on 13/6/10 - 34:39

Cumbernauld 10K on 12/9/10 - 1:11:29

Strathaven "Run with the Wind" 10K on 7/11/10 - 1:04:29

As you can tell, I'm not fast and the London 2012 committee won't be beating down my door, but I have a big smile and my heart is in the right place. More races and events will be added here as they are confirmed. Please also sign up for email updates to see what else I am getting up to in my bid to raise much-needed funds for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, more information on whom can be found here. I also host a running/life blog at mydodgyfeet which is worth a look.

Please take a moment to consider giving a donation. Your money will go to providing help and support for families across Scotland affected by spina bifida. Thank you so much.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
