Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

The Ben Kinsella Trust is an educational charity set up following the tragic murder of Ben aged 16 in 2008. Our mission is to use the true and powerful story of Ben Kinsella to educate young people about the consequences of choices, so they stay safe and away from crime.

Story

I am running my 7th London Marathon this year and having run in memory of my parents and children's causes in the past, I was at a loss about which charity to run for this time.

Then I heard that the Billy Dove Memorial Fund had been set up by the Family of a 21-year old lad from my hometown of Hemel Hempstead, who was tragically killed last November after being the innocent victim of a knife crime just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The whole town has been deeply moved by his story and came together in an amazing show of solidarity and support in the following weeks.

Billy's Family have kindly given permission for me to run for this cause in his memory.

The Ben Kinsella Trust is their nominated charity and all sponsorship on this page will go to the Trust.

Alternatively you can donate directly to the Billy Dove Memorial Fund by signing the sponsorship pages available at Bourne End Motor Services in Apsley (which is where Billy worked) OR at the Steamcoach Pub in Boxmoor.

Rest In Peace Billy

Best Wishes,

Andy

Gade Valley Harriers,

Hemel Hempstead
