UPDATE: I did it!! Bit slow, 13.5mph average. Photographic evidence to left - 30km in at top of St Catherine's Hill, the highest point in the Island. I wasn't looking so fresh 80km later!!

So why am I doing this?

Cancer Research does excellent work in many ways, not least of which is the research they fund into new ways of detecting and managing the effects of cancer. Having been personally involved in their work, I am excited by the chance to do my bit and raise money for this cause, which will affect so many of us and our families.
