Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

That's right people believe it or not myself Mr Andrew Guy and my colleague and friend, Mr Damien Biddulph, have signed up to take part in the 13.1 Mile challenge that is the Great North Run 09. The run will be taking place on the 20th September 09 in the good old North.

I'm sure most of you who know us will find this quite amusing and will not believe we can do it, especially those who know how unfit I am. But I challenge you all to put your money where your mouth is, sponsor us and challenge us to prove you wrong.

We chose to take part to raise money for the Stroke Association. I have seen the affect a stroke can have, not only on a person but on everyone around them. I'm sure people will agree this is a very worthwile cause.

If you are unable to donate online using a credit or debit card (or simply don't like using cards online) then please speak to myself or Damien and we can put the cash in manually to the total.

Although we have registered for the run, to take part we need to raise a minium of £400 each, so please give what you can and help to put us through the worst experience of our lives.

Thank you very much!
