Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We are work colleagues that also happen to be thin blokes trapped in fat bodies. We've decided that it's time to break free from the pressure of being portly: always expected to be the happy, extrovert one at parties; always checking for weight limits on furniture; and forever buying bigger clothes. Not only that but we reckon that the benefits we get from becoming our true selves should be matched by some support for our chosen charity - Cruse Bereavement Care.
The Slimathon began on 30 June 2008 when Matt weighed in at a rotund 16st 7lbs and Andy confirmed his enormous fund raising potential with an opening weight of 21st 9lbs.
We want you to pledge £1 for each pound of our total weight loss between 30 June and 5 October 2008. But if you do not feel able to make a pledge on that basis please do whatever you can to help us beat our target of £1000. As a guide Matt is looking to shed around 35lbs and Andy aims to shrink by 45lbs.
