Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Whether you are visiting to sponsor me in the Edinburgh Run or because you are interested in the efforts of Project Peru, I welcome you!

Project Peru, a UK registered charity with a significant part of its work spent running a refuge in the shanty town Zapallal. The refuge provides food, shelter, healthcare, and support for the orphaned and disadvantaged children of the area. The charity was established in 1992 and has grown largely due to the work of volunteers from the UK. Essential new construction work is currently being undertaken, to accommodate more children and to expand classrooms and other facilities. This calls for more funding. This is all about long-term fundraising for a deserved charity and not about a test of personal endurance. I hope to continue generating funds for Project Peru long after I finish the run.
